Awaken Potential, your power activated. We offer ADHD coaching and consulting

Hi, I’m Sarah Gillen, founder of Awaken Potential. I’m a qualified solicitor and formerly, a Partner at one of the largest family law firms in the UK. I also have ADHD. Having spent many years in the corporate world I understand what is needed there and I also understand how difficult it can be for an ADHDer to navigate it. I spent years navigating high‑pressure environments while masking, compensating, and pushing through systems that weren’t built with neurodiversity in mind. That experience didn’t just shape my resilience; it shaped my mission.

Awaken Potential provides meaningful support for ADHDers in the corporate world as well as assisting businesses to harness the talent of their ADHD employees and awaken the potential that has been buried for far too long. When ADHDers are properly accommodated, their strengths aren’t just visible — they’re transformative. We help businesses and ADHDers understand their strengths and to work with their brains rather than against them, and unlock the potential that is waiting to be unleashed.

As the saying goes, “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing it is stupid.” I realised I had been that fish — achieving incredible things while still feeling like I wasn’t achieving enough because I was measuring myself against the wrong standard. ADHD coaching helped me stop climbing trees and start swimming. Once I began working with my brain instead of against it, everything changed. My results improved, my stress reduced, and the constant self‑sacrifice finally stopped.

As well as my experience as an ADHDer in the corporate world, I have been trained as an ADHD coach by ADHD Works and I also bring the lived experience of being a mother to two neurodivergent children. I’ve navigated high‑pressure professional environments, family life, and personal growth while managing ADHD in myself and my children. I understand the challenges, the strengths, and the emotional weight of trying to live by rules that were never written for you — and I know how unnecessary that struggle is.
